Emma Harger Stern, LICSW, provides individual therapy to young adults experiencing anxiety, grief and loss, and major life transitions.
She has immediate openings for daytime and evening sessions. Emma provides in-person therapy and teletherapy. She is licensed to practice in Washington, D.C.
Emma utilizes a variety of techniques with her clients, including Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT).
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Emma received her graduate degree in social work from Columbia University in New York and her undergraduate degree in psychology from Carnegie Mellon University.
Prior to joining DC Talk Therapy, Emma worked as a school counselor at a charter school in Washington, D.C., and as a therapist for a group practice in New York.
