About Jason Nicholsen

Jason Nicholsen is a licensed clinical social worker who sees adults of all ages struggling with anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. He has a particular expertise in working with the LGBTQ population.
He currently works as the medication-assisted treatment program coordinator at the Max Robinson Center at Whitman-Walker Health, a community health center specializing in HIV/AIDS care and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender care.
Prior to that, Mr. Nicholsen served as a behavioral health specialist, also at Whitman-Walker, where he did crisis intervention and provided individual and group psychotherapy
Mr. Nicholsen is a certified substance abuse therapist and a member of the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists. He has a bachelors degree and a masters degree from New York University.
