Writing & Editing Help For Psychotherapists

  • Do you cringe any time you need to promote your services?
  • Do you lack the time or the interest to write copy for your website?
  • Are you having trouble attracting your ideal clients?

I can help you with all of it.

I’ve built a large group practice in Washington, D.C., due in part to my ability to effectively communicate and promote our services to the public. Understandably, most psychotherapists are interested only in the clinical aspect of their job, not marketing themselves or writing about how they can help their clients.

My background is a little different. Prior to becoming a therapist, I was a newspaper reporter for several years for a variety of publications, including The Washington Post. I’ve also had mental health articles published in Clinical Psychiatry News and Bethesda magazine.

In addition, I’ve spent the last 13 years studying different aspects of marketing from leading experts like Scott Hallman, Jay Abraham and Joe Bavonese.

As covid-19 stretches on, there’s never been a greater demand for psychotherapists. It’s critical that therapists understand how to communicate the benefit of their services, such as teletherapy, to those struggling with anxiety, depression and relationship problems.

What I help with:

  • Website copy
  • Therapist profiles on sites like Psychology Today and Good Therapy
  • Resumes and cover letters
  • E-newsletters and other promotional items

I offer two types of services:

  • Writing or editing help on an as-needed basis. We can schedule this whenever the need arises.
  • Writing or editing help for a specific task, like a complete revamp of your website

I look forward to working with you.
